24 July - Clarke Quay

We were given a great tip to stay away from the major attractions on weekends so we ventured into the city for a look around. We headed straight to Boat Quay for some lunch.

I'm not exactly sure what Indi is doing in this photo. Maybe practising to be a Jedi....... We had a great feed of Indian food, outstanding.

Then it was off to Clarke Quay for a look around. We then hopped on to one of the many water-borne tours of Singapore Harbour for a half hour looky-see.

The Singapore Eye. Just like London's Eye except bigger. Nic and I planned to go on this but ended up giving it a miss. You can see the stadium for the Singapore Grand Prix in the foreground.

You know that the worlds financial crisis isn't really affecting you when you can build this.

One of Singapore's famous Merlions.

Same Merlion, different view.

Apparantly a famous statue.... Back in the days of no swimming pools in Singapore the kids used to jump into the harbour for a swim.

Safely back at Clarke Quay we let the kids cool off in the middle of the mall. We weren't sure if it would be frowned upon but it definately started a trend with about ten other kids quickly joining them.

That's one way to cool off Indi.

Don't let the smile fool you, he is a ratbag.....

Every now again they can play together without killing each other.

If walking all bloody day wasn't enough Nic and Jaxon felt the need to do some exercise on the walk home from the MRT.

Day Two done and dusted.
