10 July US Navy Band

As part of the Pacific Partnership mission the US Navy band contingent played a few free concerts for the public. So the family was packed up and off we went the local softball field for a Sunday afternoon band session. Not quite a Hemi and Pete evening (inside story) but great all the same.

As with most things it took a little while to convince the 'locals' to come stand in front of the band.

These guys had to wear uniform everywhere. They put on a great show.

I know the photo looks like Indi is practising kung-fu on Jaxon but I can assure you it was just her crazy dancing style. Much like Daddy and Lyndon in front of Hemi and Pete I'm sure.

A couple of 'Sweaty Bettys' after all that dancing. 30 degrees and 85% humidity will do that.

Some of the locals preferred to watch on from far away. It certainly was loud enough for them.

The dancing portion of the crowd grew and grew. The final few songs was some of the worlds latest music (apparently) - must be getting old.

Another great event in Pohnpei. It's going to be hard to leave and come back to reality when the time comes.
