Hamilton Island 1

Hamilton Island. What a place! Talk about the life of the rich and famous. You've got too much money if you go there on a regular basis, but for a 'been there' visit it is pretty good. We stayed in a two bedroom self-contained apartment which saved a bit on food bill with Nic cooking at some master pieces as usual.

Kicking back at the new yacht club. After seeing Jaxon doing his 'na na' the staff, for some reason, felt obliged to tell us that children could not dine in the restaurant.

Meet the next Bindi Irwin. Breakfast outside was 'eat there at your own risk'.

We had quite a few visits to the mini zoo. The kids loved it. Not bad value, $20 gets an adult in as many times as they like for the duration of there stay. Kids under five are free.

Indi 'must' do everything that Jaxon does.

Storytime is never a serious thing. Oh well so much for settling them down to go to sleep.

4-5 June - Cairns the first visit.

Well we have finally made it off the island for some R and R. Do we need R and R..... Probably not but it was great to get out to the shopping and other things that we can't do on our island home of Pohnpei. Like Scott eating a mountain of KFC.....

At the airport in Pohnpei. The kids were really good on the flight and did pretty well for the entire journey to Cairns even with a quick change of planes in Guam.

Best of mates. Indi's first ride and big brother Jaxon was making sure that she didn't get too excited and fall out.

Jaxon has been talking about the bloody wiggles car/boat/plane ride since we were in Cairns in January so it was a mandatory visit to it once again.

30 May - Heathers Birthday

Sunday was our Neighbour Heather's birthday. With her husband away for a short stint with one of the FSM Patrol Boats we made sure that she was kept entertained. Nic whipped up a cake which Indi and Jaxon were great fans of.

Present time. Jaxon was on hand for unwrapping duty.

Sunday happened to be Allois's birthday as well. Allois runs the local Pohnpei Surf Club and stopped in on the way through to share in the celebration.

Cocktails and Cake; can you beat it?

Present fitting time. Yes Heather it's time to fit in with the locals.
