22 July Family Holiday Manila

Well we are off again on a holiday away from Pohnpei. This time we are heading to Singapore via Manila at the moment. We flew out of Pohnpei yesterday and spend last night in Manila. It's a very busy place, especially compared to Pohnpei. The first five photos where taken from our rooms balcony.

Nothing like an extremely hard bed and heaps of 'horn-blaring' traffic to keep you awake at night. Then the kids jumped into bed with me about 0530. Oh yeah..... This is the traffic outside the hotel at 0600..... Cranking already.

Jeepnees. Manila is full of these vehicles left here by the US forces at the end of the war. It's a credit to the Philipino mechanics that they are still running. They are all painted up differently and are a pretty cool way to get around.

Not the safest mode of transport on a four lane street but they are everywhere.

Not exactly sure what a 'gro-dancer' does. Nic wouldn't let me find out either....

The pollution haze. Something we haven't missed while living in paradise.

Pancakes by the pool before heading off to the Manila airport and doing it all again. Travelling with kids, got to love it (or you'd go crazy). Maybe we already are.....

We are sitting in the Manila Airport right now, flying out to Singapore in an hour. Staying for a week with Nana and Granddad.
