03 July - Day Three in Majuro Enemanet

Day three of my trip to Majuro saw the Fishing Club host a bbq on the small island of Enemanet. So a very civil hour of 10:30 am saw the boat being put in the water. Beer and dive gear loaded in and off we went for the 15 minute trip to the island.

Todd and I wisely decided that we should get the diving out of the way prior to the beer. There is a shipwreck, a plane and a helicopter all really close together just off the beach. With a maximum depth of 24m it was an easy and enjoyable dive. We anchored our boat on the beach and just walked out to the drop-off and away we went.

Pretty cool huh.

No doubt all of this stuff was placed here. I have heard of the Bermuda Triangle of Majuro.

They have Nemo over in Majuro as well.

Up close and personal with Nemo.

Pork steaks barbequed island style.

Tug-of-War on the beach was a real hit. The kids got things started; even numbers was never considered.

Bottom fishing men versus the wives of the trolling guys. I won't embarrass the men by saying who won.

Paints a very pretty picture. Life is good in Majuro. The only country in the world to have a public holiday called 'Fishermans Day'. Got to love it.

The biggest 'Spud Gun' I have ever seen.

The day was all too much for this little one.

Another 'postcard' shot from Majuro.

Just a short swim off the beach. The kids climbed, screamed, laughed and swam the entire day.

It was a great way to relax after two full days of fishing. We were actually glad not to be fishing - believe it or not.
