Disney Cruise - Ketchikan, Alaska

Ketchikan, among other names, is known as the Salmon Capital of the World. After the previous days heartache I couldn't bare the thought of losing another great fish. So we grabbed the kids and strolled around the township that is once again 50% tourist orientated.

The wharf area can hold up to six cruise liners at once and I'm sure during the peak season they do just that.

The shops ranges from knicknaks to eaterys to stuff priced at way more than we were willing to pay. Who would actually pay five thousand dollars for a moose antler chandelier anyway.

Now your talking. I couldn't lose a fish that was already cut up and wrapped in plastic. Could I?????

 Bloody bagpipes. Can't escape them.

A permanent fixture on the boat that we had never noticed until we were lining up to get back onboard.

There were three cruise liners in, including us, and the town seemed to cope easily. A really slick operation.

 Very picturesc.

I'm not sure the exact significance of this statue so I won't lie, the kids enjoyed climbing on it though.

In reality the port visits are only limited by how much money you are willing spent. We count six sea planes taking off or landing at any one time.
