28-30 Jan - Guam

Holidays off island at last. This trip we decided on Guam-Hong Kong-Guam. We had a two day stop over in Guam before heading to Hong Kong for a week, and then had a week on Guam before heading home to Pohnpei.

Now that's a beach. Tumon Bay is a beautiful spot and only a short walk from our hotel. Jaxon and Indi loved it and we made it to the beach every day in Guam.

Nic went for a walk up the beach so the kids and I did a little exploring of the 'ritchey' hotels on the waterfront. This one had parrots to keep the guests the entertained. Indi kept them entertained by doing what none of the Japanese guests dared to do. Oh to have no fear again.

Nice Parrot, please don't bite me.....

Next it was Daddy's attempt at a sand castle. Much better than buckets forming a crappiola castle I say.

Jaxon's at the age where he feels the desire to be in charge of the camera. Lucky it's waterproof. Not a bad job for a beginner though.

These triggerfish were everywhere. They swam right up to your mask. A little off-putting but not too bad. They are used to being fed by the Japanese tourists and get a little annoyed if you have nothing to offer.

Food glorious food. Outback Steakhouse the first night (we hadn't even unpacked), Planet Hollywood the next. Only someone living on a Pacific Island that receives fresh food every three-four weeks can understand how happy I was at this moment.

Nic did the chick thing and booked in to get her hair done. I took the kids to an amusement park within the shopping centre. Needless to say, they were amused. This beats a tyre on a rope any day.

We foolishly went back to check on mum. Indi (must to her protest) got roped into getting her hair cut as well. Jaxon did as well, Daddy ran for the hills. What do I need a hair cut for, at the rate it's falling out there'll be none soon enough.

Cracka Photo. We found a mini swinging ship. Jaxon and Indi loved the bag out of this one.

The naughty corner (Guantanamo Bay Style) at the airport while waiting for the plane to Hong Kong. There is only so many times you can tell a kid to stop running through all the Chinese and Japanese people before you lose it!
