Zara, Jonah and Joshie from House 3 in the Compound got the morning rolling with a great sign they did up. The sign has since moved up into the house and is proudly hanging in the lounge room. We might even save it for next year.
As the people arrived so did their very generous presents. Blackboards are great, we just have to get Indi to draw with the chalk instead of eating it.
Jaxon, aka Superboy, loved pass the parcel. Nic had loaded a small something in between each layer so everyone got a lolly to keep them interested. Good thinking Mum.
Pass the parcel was a big hit with everyone.
Next came musical chairs.
It didn't matter to Indi that she went out of the game early. It was her new birthday present chair and she was going to sit in it every time the music stopped.
Scott had pegged out the tarps for a slip and slide just before every one starting arriving. After musical chairs it was time to get wet. Indi made sure all was in order before we were allowed to start.
Of course she had to christen it first.
Jaxon at speed. If only the photo was taken half a second later as he slid off the end and into the mud.
Indi needed a bit of extra weight from Daddy to get the speed up enough to slide.
Maggie showing off her style of sliding.
Jonah, Zeeman and Lucas in full flight.
Thanks Heather for the puff pastry. Nic and Chris whipped up some great sausage rolls for lunch.
Yummy fruit kababs, with a marshmellow, were a huge hit.
No kids birthday party is complete without vegemite sandwiches.
Now that's a birthday cake. Great job Nana.
It's my birthday ball and you just try and take it off of me. I dare ya.....
