Nahlap is a 'Resort Island' just off the coast of mainland Pohnpei. We had heard a lot about it and were keen to check it out for ourselves. So Scott took a day's leave and off we went. Up at 0630 for a 0800 departure from home for a 40 minute drive to meet the boat at 0900.
Waiting at the boat dock. At this stage we weren't that confident that the boat would even turn up to take us.
Luckily for us the boat turned up as arranged and we were off for a 20 minute ride across to Nahlap
A confidence builder for sure.
Dodgy landing but that just added to the magnificent character of the place.
Made it safe and sound. 'Resort' may have been a bit of a twist of words.
