17 Dec - Wahooooo

The trade winds are definately here. At 15-25 knots with a 9 foot swell it was time to 'man-up' for a feed. I took Lori and Stephen with me to ensure I didn't die alone. We missed a couple of good fish early with no fish on ice after two hours. But when it started it didn't stop for one and a half hours, with ten wahoo joining us on the boat over that time. Happy days.

Lori with one of our trophies.

Not that I'm a fan of taking photos of dead fish but at least you can see the spoils of war in this one. They weren't huge by any stretch of the imagination but fresh wahoo is top shelf eating.

Now that is one good looking cooler and there isn't even a beer in sight.

Filleting down ten fish after being beat up by the ocean wasn't that much fun.

Crazy compound chickens will eat anything.

Out at 0630, home before 1130, done by 1430. A great days fishing for sure.
