August - Phuket - Fantasea

Another great tourist attraction, if not the biggest in Phuket, is Fantasea. It is a bit of a history lesson put together on stage with actors and animals (elephants mainly but there were also dogs, doves, roosters, etc). Unfortunately we were unable to take photos during the actual show. They even went as far as demanding that people entering the show hand over their cameras for return after. Not a chance, as ours was pushed as far into my pocket as I could get it though. There is a lot to do before you even get into the show, restaurants, bars and heaps of shops. We went with the all-you-can-eat option when we purchased the tickets and we weren't dissapointed.

Dean, Heather, Peter and Chris joined us for the evening.

You've got to love white tigers. These guys were in one of the places there that you could pose for paid photos with elephants and tigers. Looked awesome but I'm sure there are real concerns about their lifestyle. Better than being a rug I guess.

This was the entrance to the buffet. Yep it was pretty flash.

After the show a few of the actors came out the front to pose for photos. I'd have been spewen if I had paid for a photo with an elephant earlier.

A great meal and a great show. Definately a 'must-do' if you go to Phuket.
