August - Phuket - Eating Out

As you do when you go on holidays you restrain from cooking as much as possible. Well Nic booked this hotel; no cooking facilities in the room...... Oh well, out we go again.

First time we ventured into Patong we cruised the main strip for a while and then the need for a beer and a meal took over. They advertised this as lobster; not quite guys but I'm not going to argue at the price.

Pineapple Chicken I think. Chris said it tasted good, so I guess that's two out out two.

Dean and Heather flew in from Pohnpei and we caught up with them to watch the first Bledisloe and some dinner.

Life in Pohnpei doesn't look that much different to this photo.

Or this one.

A couple of lemonades and all of a sudden hanging out the back of a speeding Tuk Tuk seems like fun......

Oh Yeah Baby. Pohnpei is pretty cheap for seafood but I have to cook at home. A lot of places at Patong Beach served up quality food at a pretty good price.

Nic seemed pretty happy with the lobster themadore.

We ate most of our evening meals in the hotel but occasionally we ventured out. Indi and Jaxon were great pretty much all the time but pushed themselves to the limit. One minute before this photo Indi was confidently saying "Me not tired, me no go home". Yeah right.

Let me just finish this glass of red and I'll carry you home.

Nothing like eating Indian in Thailand. The kids enjoyed seeing Nana and Granddad again.

Seafood, more than a man can eat.

Not sure I'd be eating squid in Thailand though.

These babies copped a flogging though. No doubting we aided the Thai economy during our visit.

Kids are kids and waiting patiently at the table is something that they just don't do. Luckily the beach was close by to keep them entertained.

There are some awesome places to dine. This one looked out over the ocean towards the setting sun.

More lobster and check out the size of those prawns. I'd be scared if I saw one that size while diving for them in Perth. Happy but scared.

Nana must have a thing for eating out of pineapples.....

Our last night in Thailand. See they can be nice to each other occasionally.

Got to love fresh coconut milk. No shortage of it here.
